Delete a Realm App with Realm CLI

You can use the MongoDB Realm CLI to delete a server-side Realm app.

  • A properly installed copy of realm-cli that has been added to your system PATH.
  • A MongoDB Atlas programmatic API key for the MongoDB Cloud account you wish to log in with. You must be a Project Owner of the Atlas project where you want to delete the Realm app.

Use your MongoDB Cloud API Key to log in:

realm-cli login --api-key="<my api key>" --private-api-key="<my private api key>"

Although the delete command will show you a list of apps available to delete, You may want to use the list command to see all your apps and find out which you plan to delete before running the delete command.

realm-cli apps list

For more details about each app, you can use:

realm-cli apps describe

The CLI can delete one or more apps with the following command:

realm-cli apps delete

If you have more than one Realm app, you will be prompted to select one or more apps that you would like to delete from a list of all your Realm apps.

If you already know the name or id of the app you would like to delete, you can specify it:

realm-cli apps delete --app <name or id>
